This is a scalable LTE Core Network Platform. This EPC offers full EPC core network functionality to support broadband network operators in deployment of 4G LTE technology.

Key 4G LTE packet core network functions are supported in the EPC, including the Mobile Management Entity (MME), the Serving Gateway (S-GW), and the Packet Data Network Gateway (PDN-GW). In addition to these network functions, Home Subscriber Server (HSS) and Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) capabilities are available as optional add-on modules. 3GPP industry standard protocols and interfaces are supported allowing the EPC to be deployed in multi-vendor environments. The platform has been integrated with a number of eNodeB systems from both partner and third party vendors.
This EPC platform can be deployed on commercial off the shelf server platforms using Intel-Linux configurations. RKTPL also offers hardware configurations that enable operators to deploy networks of all sizes. As usage demands increase, additional computing and networking resources can easily be added to expand system capacity. The solution can also be virtualized to run in an operator’s existing VM environment or on a Platform as a Service (PaaS) provided by a third party.
Connectivity to external support systems is supported using a RESTful API for provisioning the HSS and an FTP based interface to push/pull usage detail records from the EPC. This EPC is also managed by RKTPL’ network equipment management platform, the OMC.
