A private network is an enterprise-dedicated network that provides communication connections to people or things belonging to a specific enterprise and provides specific services necessary for the business of the enterprise.
The enterprise operates its own network and uses it exclusively. Unlike public networks, only allowed people and devices can access this network, and data generated within the enterprise is processed locally only within the enterprise's dedicated network, ensuring high security and data privacy.

Industry 4.0 initiatives around the world are advancing digital transformation objectives in all industries by applying new technologies and innovations. To take advantage of these new innovations, a locally optimized and dedicated wireless network is often needed to support the connectivity requirements. Private LTE can be used to support these new tools and applications.

FORESTRY
The forestry industry can take advantage of new technologies to fully connect the forest supply chain with real-time information and allow the latest adoption in automated or remote operated machinery. Forest management, harvest operations and timber transportation can all benefit from increased connectivity and digital technologies. A private cellular network is often required to extend connectivity options to operating areas where commercial cellular coverage does not exist or is inadequate.
Through it’s Forest 4.0 program, RKTPL industry partner has investigated the use of Private LTE networks to support forestry operations in remote locations. In addition to enabling video communications and connecting computer equipment, the network connected logging equipment and other telematic systems to share real-time productivity data.
AGRICULTURE
Digital transformation in the agriculture industry enables smart farming operations to increase their productivity and meet environmental sustainability goals. Taking advantage of innovations in autonomous tractors, asset tracking, mapping and real-time analytics requires a network that has good coverage, performance and security.
RKTPL offers Private LTE network equipment that enable smart farming operations to easily deploy a dedicated wireless network. It can be as simple as deploying a single piece of equipment such as the Network-In-Box). Multiple systems can be deployed to grow and expand the coverage area as needed in the case of multiple farming locations.
MINING
For the mining industry, RKTPL’ private cellular network experience started earlier than Industry 4.0 or Private LTE. Our solutions were used to enable voice services and data connectivity for above and underground mines benefitting worker worker safety and other important initiatives. By enabling Private LTE for mining operators, we enable a full suite of potential technical innovations used to accelerate digital transformation and deployment of smart mining.
A mine site with its own dedicated LTE network is able to provide site-wide wireless coverage to enable capabilities such as autonomous trucks, wearables for worker protection, and access to real-time data for machine learning and data optimization. These applications can also be deployed local to the mine site enhancing network performance and information security.
